August's Garden
For August, Elizabeth shares her tips on prepping for the next summer.
We can only hope that August is sunnier than this rainy July has been, but either way, keep enjoying your gardens and the longer days of summer. This month, as well as deadheading things like roses, cosmos, dahlias and sweet peas, and collecting the seeds of your favourite plants (leave seedheads on to dry out in the sun before collecting in a paper bag), now is a great time to start planning for next summer! Look at your garden / terrace now, where are the gaps? What would you like to add or take away? How would you like it to feel next summer?
Next month we’ll be looking at bulbs and how to put your plans in to action...
